This piece is a visualization of Anorexia, which is an eating disorder. I wanted to represent how the unrealistic body standards in the media can impact someone’s mental health, which I did through the glitching text and coding. the coding can actually be seen as a double meaning because people suffering from more is can often be obsessed with numbers, whether that be number of calories, weight, how many times they allow themselves to eat, etc.
this piece was done in mostly colored pencil and paint pens.
