This piece represents dementia. I wanted to focus on the idea of an elderly person, starting to forget the love of their life. This is symbolized through the snow globe, which in a lot of circumstances is a souvenir people collect to remember the places they’ve traveled and as a physical memory the snow globe is also a Melting candle, visualizing the memories fading away and once it’s all gone… It’s gone.
